This is a full-time permanent job based in the School of Engineering.
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (Teaching-focused) in the field of Embedded System Design, Digital Systems and FPGAs.
You will be expected to teach existing and new modules of the highest quality within the area of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, in areas such as:
You will engage with higher education pedagogy and be willing to develop novel teaching methods, embracing changes in teaching technology and expectations.
Flexible Working
The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
You will have sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge (through previous research or industrial experience) in Electrical/Electronic engineering to develop teaching, learning and assessments, particularly in digital systems, embedded systems design and FPGAs.
For Associate Professor (T): In-depth understanding of own specialism to enable the development of new knowledge and understanding within the field.
