This is a fixed-term, 2-year apprenticeship, for 36.5 hours per week which may lead to a permanent role following successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Sowing the seeds of Tomorrow - A unique opportunity for a career supporting horticultural research and science. We are looking for an Apprentice Horticultural/Crop Technician to join our team at Stratford Innovation Campus (based in Wellesbourne) providing support to world renowned scientific and horticultural research.

The successful apprentice will work in a multi-disciplinary team of Technicians assisting in the provision of high-quality field and protected crops research trials.

 You will also be expected to undertake a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Horticulture – Crop Technician, at our training provider, Pershore College, starting in October 2024 and will need to meet the eligibility requirements for the Apprenticeship Funding  - Apprenticeship funding rules for main providers - Annex A: Eligibility criteria (who we fund) - Guidance - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).

We are looking for someone who enjoys being outdoors, has an interest in growing plants and would like to work as part of a team in supporting world renowned scientific and horticultural research. An understanding, interest and/or experience with tractors and agricultural equipment will be advantageous.

You may already have some experience in working in a horticultural environment or be a school leaver who has an interest in horticulture/research. We are interested in talking to anyone who is enthusiastic, interested and not afraid of hard work outdoors.
