The University of Warwick is seeking to appoint an Impact Development Officer to provide practitioner support for the development of research impact.
This exciting new role will form part of a newly-expanded Research Impact team situated in Research & Impact Services, the University’s central Research Office.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Research Impact Managers to support researchers by providing advice and guidance on all elements of research impact.
This will include the development of a strong pipeline of REF impact case studies, provision of one-to-one guidance and group training, and the effective communication of impact through multiple channels.
The role will also support a breadth of initiatives aimed at nurturing a vibrant, supportive and inclusive impact culture at the University, including peer mentoring networks and communities of practice.
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate candidates with a strong understanding of research impact in its widest context and with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The department of Research & Impact Services supports the delivery of internationally leading research & impact at the University of Warwick. This encompasses support for research strategy; research development; research grants & contracts; research ethics & governance; research culture, research impact; trusted research, the Research Excellence Framework (REF); research systems & data; statutory returns; programme management of institutional funds to support research & impact; research income planning; and responsibility for the co-ordination of institutional programmes & partnerships such as the Interdisciplinary Research Spotlights,The Alan Turing Institute (ATI), City of Culture (CoC), and Eutopia.
R&IS also delivers the secretariat function for nine formal University committees.
