In this role you’ll carry out routine, planned and reactive electrical maintenance duties, fault diagnostics and repairs to a wide range of electrical systems to ensure our customers receive a high quality, efficient response service. You’ll also work on minor installations for all electrical services throughout the University.
In addition to a competitive base salary of up to £34,132 per annum (depending on your role), you’ll receive a market supplement of £2,000 per annum. The working hours will be Monday to Friday business hours plus occasional weekends on a rota basis (approximately 5 weekends a year but you’ll only ever be required to work 5 days in 7). To participate in the maintenance operations on-call system as required.
Flexible Working
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share), despite the position being advertised as full-time.
You will have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installations or Maintenance with the ability to carry out installation, maintenance and electrical testing and requirements in accordance with BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Electricity at Work Act as well as an excellent understanding of Health & Safety and the associated processes.
