An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our teaching and learning team in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Warwick, building teaching experience within a vibrant teaching and research environment. We have a large number of international students and a capable and motivated student body – our standard entry requirements A*A*A to include A* in Mathematics. We deliver various modules ranging from first year computer science topics to masters-level advanced topics.
As a Tutor, you will have a leading involvement in delivering problem classes, tutorials and computer practicals and grading assignments for undergraduate students. You will also contribute to a range of other teaching and learning activities, possibly including personal tutoring, outreach, and open days. Up to 20% of your time will be allocated to personal professional development, for example to pursue a research programme in Computer Science or for ongoing professional development of your pedagogical skills and knowledge.
Flexible Working
We are looking for highly motivated candidates, with a good honour’s degree in Computer Science or a related subject. You will be able to teach the use of relevant software packages and programming languages and committed to delivering a high-quality learning experience. You will have excellent planning, time management and communication skills, and must be able to engage with students in their learning.
