We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join the Technical Services Team supporting the Department of Chemistry’s research laboratories and associated infrastructure at the University of Warwick.
Reporting to the Deputy Technical Services Manager (Research), you will join a team of Senior Support Technicians who deliver high quality technical support to staff, students and visitors. You will contribute to the smooth running of the Department, working flexibly with staff across the department and the wider technical services team to achieve a high standard of support for staff and students.
This is a great opportunity for an individual wishing to extend and further develop their skills in an academic environment, whilst learning about a growing strategically important department at the University of Warwick.
Success in this role will require excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, a can-do attitude with a desire to work collaboratively as part of a high performing team and an ability to work independently in a busy environment.
Previous experience of manual handling and handling chemical waste would be an advantage, also noting some of the duties are based outdoors (appropriate outdoor clothing and PPE are provided).
It would be desirable if you have a basic working knowledge of COSHH regulations and previous experience of inputting into databases and maintaining manual/electronic records.
